KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The trial continues for a Kalamazoo Township man accused of beating another man to death with a baseball bat.
Nathan Branham became suspicious that the victim, Michael McIntyre, was stealing marijuana plants from his illegal outdoor grow operation in his yard last September.
So when McIntyre came for a second time that’s when Branham ambushed him, according to prosecutors, clubbing him multiple times with the bat.
McIntyre was admitted to Borgess Medical Center in critical condition and reportedly died from his injuries two days after the incident.
The prosecution is expected to call additional witnesses on Thursday.
