KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A man who claims he was being robbed of his medical marijuana has been arrested for assault after he clubbed the man he says was robbing him.
It occurred around 4:30 a.m. Sunday at a home on Huntington Avenue when the resident confronted the man about allegedly stealing his medical marijuana outside his home.
Kalamazoo Township Police say that’s when the homeowner used a “blunt object” and struck the suspected robber.
The 27-year-old man was rushed to Borgess Hospital with a life-threatening head injury and the homeowner was arrested and charged with assault.
The prosecutor will review the investigation and decide where the case goes from there.
