KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — “Talons Out” is spreading its wings.
The organization that has been offering day trips to World War II and Korean Veterans, all expenses paid to see their war memorials in Washington, has just announced they will be extending the offer to Vietnam Veterans.
Volunteer Greg Merckle says the older vets will continue to be their priority, but their numbers are dwindling with time, and it’s time for the Vietnam Vets to participate.
The organization is a non-profit that operates largely with volunteers and donated funds to make the trips possible.
The first flight of the year will be April 20th from the Kalamazoo-Battle Creek International Airport.
The veteran application can be found here.
