UNDATED (WKZO AM/FM) — It’s been a relatively mild flu season in Michigan, but now that the Michigan Department of Health has determined the bug is now wide spread in the state, the Ascension Hospitals in Michigan, Including Borgess and its affiliates are initiating visitor protocols at all their hospitals to protect patients and other visitors.
Only visitors who are 14 or older, and healthy, free from fever, cough, colds or other symptoms should come to the hospital for visits.
Only two at any one time may visit a patient and they are encouraged to wash their hands before, during and after their visit.
Bronson Hospital and their affiliates initiated similar protocols a month ago.
