GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Hopcat has released it’s new name for their iconic fries after announcing earlier that they would no longer go by the name “Crack Fries.”
They will now be called “Cosmik Fries,” inspired by the owner’s love for Frank Zappa and the “anti-drug” song, “Cosmik Debris”.
HopCat officials admit that the addictive nature of the beer-battered fries with the cracked pepper seasoning was one of the reasons they went with the name Crack Fries, but they now say that the nation’s drug problem is no joking matter.
In December they announced that the name would be changed, but it wasn’t released until January 14th.
