KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — Whatever happened to the ten protesters arrested after the Bronson Park Freedom Encampment?
Five have cut a deal with the City Attorney to have the charges dropped in exchange for the protesters agreeing not to file civil counter-suits.
Charges against City Commissioner Shannon Sykes-Nehring for resisting and obstructing were dropped months ago.
Four others are now fugitives after they demanded to take their case to a jury and then failed to appear for their trial on Thursday.
Warrants have been issued for failing to appear.
Their attorney was also absent and may also face court sanctions.
