LANSING (WKZO AM/FM) — A report made last month has now been confirmed.
Former State Senator Margaret O’Brien or Portage will continue to work in the State Senate, despite being unseated in the November election by Democrat Sean McCann.
She is expected to be elected to serve as Secretary of the Senate when the panel reconvenes next week.
The Republican leader, Mike Shirkey also appointed committee chairs.
From this area John Bizon of Battle Creek will chair the Families, Seniors and Veteran’s Committee.
Aric Nesbitt of Lawton will chair Regulatory Reform and Licensing and Regulatory Affairs.
