LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Margaret O’Brien may still be making the commute to Lansing even after she leaves office, if reports turnout to be correct.
MIRS News is reporting that O’Brien, who was ousted from her State Senate seat by Sean McCann earlier this month, may be tapped by new Senate Leader Mike Shirkey to take a staff position as Secretary of the Senate.
Neither Shirkey nor O’Brien are commenting on the speculation.
Word is that her record as senator, her quick mastery of Senate rules, and performance as Asst. President Pro Tem may have earned her the appointment.
MIRS reports that it would also continue a flow of something we are familiar with here at WKZO, the cookies she usually brings from her kitchen.
