KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — A rollover accident on Westnedge Avenue in the Vine Neighborhood late last night has claimed the life of a young Kalamazoo man.
Public Safety investigators say a vehicle was heading south on South Westnedge near Park Place at 10:42 last night when for some reason, it went out of control, left the roadway, sheared off a power pole, rolled over and struck a cyclist.
The driver and the cyclist are expected to recover from their injuries, but a 27-year-old passenger, who was initially trapped in the vehicle, did not survive.
The investigation into the fatal crash shut down the busy road for several hours late last night.
Charges or citations may result.
