WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP (WKZO AM/FM) — President Trump threatened to shut down the U.S. Government if he doesn’t get funding for his border wall, slammed democrats, the media and immigrants and talked about North Korea during a campaign style speech in Washington Township, Michigan Saturday night.
Trump wasn’t specific but was threatening to make funding for the border wall a reqirement for a deal to extend the budget when the government runs out of money in late September.
He said construction of a border wall has already started in California.
On the presidential campaign trail in 2016, Trump regularly said that Mexico would pay for the wall.
