KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — A traffic stop on Kalamazoo’s northwest side has resulted in the seizure of drugs and a stolen gun.
Kalamazoo authorities stopped a car near Conant Street and Stuart Avenue for a traffic violation at about 3 a.m. Wednesday and determined that both the driver and the passenger were wanted for numerous outstanding warrants.
A search of the car turned up cocaine and marijuana and a gun that had been reported stolen from its owner in Battle Creek.
A 23-year-old is being held on gun and drug charges in the County Jail.
This is the second day in a row that a traffic stop has resulted in a drug and gun bust in that part of town.
