KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — Two juveniles are sitting in the Kalamazoo County Juvenile home after they stole and then crashed a vehicle early this morning in the Edison Neighborhood.
PSO’s were initially dispatched to the scene of the crash at Washington and Race Streets at about 1 am and found the abandoned vehicle bashed up against a tree.
A computer check revealed it had been stolen from an apartment complex on Gull Road.
K-9 Bodi was brought to the scene and tracked down both of the teens who were taken into custody a few blocks away.
A 16-year-old was arrested for car theft, marijuana and leaving the scene of an accident. A 14-year-old passenger was taken to the juvenile home on a valid Apprehend and Detain order.
