BATTLE CREEK (WKZO AM/FM) — A teenager from Battle Creek is lucky to be alive after he was shot in the head at about 10:00 last night in the first block of Jenoah Street in Battle Creek.
In fact the 19-year-old was last listed in good condition.
A 36-year-old woman has identified herself as the person who shot the teen. She was detained for questioning. The firearm has been recovered from the scene of the shooting.
Investigators say the shooting appears to have been the result of a long standing dispute.
The matter remains under investigation.
