OSHTEMO TOWNSHIP (WKZO-AM/FM) — Sheriff’s detectives in Kalamazoo County say reports of a 13-year-old getting struck by a hit-and-run driver at a mobile home park in Oshtemo Township were false.
Investigators say the teenager suffered injuries Wednesday, but not from a compact car at the Colonial Trails Trailer Park. Sheriff’s deputies said Wednesday the vehicle struck the skateboarding juvenile as it traveled southbound on Colonial Trail Drive.
The agency said it will continue its investigation to determine whether to file charges.
