MUSKEGON (WKZO-AM) — A second suspect in the shooting death of Western Michigan University student Jake Jones has been arrested.
All we know about the second suspect is that he is a 20-year-old native of Muskegon. He was arrested in his hometown.
Former WMU basketball player Joeviair Kennedy has already been identified as one of the suspects involved in what detectives say was an alleged drug rip-off at Soho Apartments that turned deadly a week ago. Kennedy is also from Muskegon.
Kalamazoo Public Safety is crediting the assistance of WMU and Michigan State Police for the tips and leads that resulted in the two arrests.
The second suspect is tentatively scheduled for arraignment on Monday.
