BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — Battle Creek’s fire marshal has determined that a fire that caused $20,000 damage to a home that was being refurbished at 49 Roosevelt Avenue last Friday was damaged by arson.
The news release doesn’t say how or why it was started, only that it was vacant at the time of the fire and that they believe it was intentionally set.
The Michigan Arson Hotline is offering a reward of $5,000 for anyone who offers information that leads to the arrest or conviction of an arsonist. Their number is 1-800-44-ARSON.
