KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — The school cafeteria was never like this.
Western Michigan University officials say they plan a wide variety of menus when their new Valley Dining Center starts serving meals to the students who live in the Goldsworth Valley dorms.
The $36 million facility will feature nine restaurant-style venues, featuring a variety of ethnic and casual to formal dining options.
There will even be a special kitchen to cater to students with food allergies.
It will replace the cafeteria operations in the three Valley complexes, which will be repurposed for other uses.
They plan a Sept. 1 grand opening for the community to take a look.
