KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — A Kalamazoo woman has been bound over to stand trial for allegedly driving drunk and causing a crash that killed the young son of her boyfriend in April.
Nicole Camden waived preliminary exam Tuesday and remains at the Kalamazoo County Jail on $10,000 bond.
Court documents claim the 24-year-old had a blood-alcohol count that was over twice the legal limit when she failed to negotiate a dangerous curve on the U.S.131 business loop and rolled her minivan.
Four-year-old Jayden Johnson was ejected from the vehicle and killed. Her boyfriend and another boy were also injured.
If she is convicted of driving drunk causing death, she faces a maximum of up to 15 years in prison.
