BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — Battle Creek police now say they have a murder on their hands, following the preliminary results from an autopsy on the body of a woman found dead in a Battle Creek apartment last weekend.
They believe 45-year-old Liza Haney-Nelson was dead for over a day before her body was discovered. They believe she died from a blunt-force trauma to the head.
Detectives have questioned her live-in boyfriend, 58-year-old Oliver Paige.
Her body was discovered on Saturday after police received a call from concerned family members.
