ALBION (WKZO-AM) — One of four suspects in a particularly violent home invasion in Albion is being held on $200,000 bond after leaving a telling clue behind at the scene of the crime.
Police say David Tucker was among the robbers who burst into a home on Mechanic Street on June 6, assaulting three adult suspects, terrifying a 4-year-old child and sending one victim to the hospital with head injuries.
They were demanding money.
When they heard police heading their way they ducked out the back door and police say Tucker lost his shoe going over a fence. Later, when they got a report of a man walking downtown who was missing a shoe, he was confronted and after a short chase, he was arrested.
They found a handgun discarded nearby. The three other suspects are being sought.
