BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — Battle Creek police aren’t saying much about a shooting that occurred at around 3 a.m. Wednesday in the 100 block of 23rd Street.
The victim was shot in the knee during an altercation early in the morning, but did not seek medical treatment until that afternoon.
The 25-year-old male is in stable condition.
They say it began with a disagreement that escalated into a physical fight and ended with the gunshot wound.
They believe there were several people involved, and they are asking them to come forward or contact Silent Observer at (269) 964-3888.
