BEDFORD TOWNSHIP (WKZO-AM) — Battle Creek police are investigating to determine if distracted driving may have contributed to a fatal crash in Bedford Township on Saturday.
They say a 54-year-old woman was westbound on West Michigan Avenue near Oak Street after 10 a.m. when her car strayed across the centerline and slammed into a car traveling in the opposite direction.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver was treated for minor injuries at the scene but refused additional treatment.
No names were released.
