PORTAGE (WKZO-AM) — An autopsy has been ordered to help police in Portage determine why a man from Revenna man drove his pickup off U.S. 131 into wooded area south of Centre Street.
Investigators say the southbound truck rolled several times before coming to rest. The crash occurred right around 9:30 a.m. Saturday.
The driver, identified as 57-year-old Harry Eschman, was still alive when he was rescued from the vehicle and transported to Bronson Methodist Hospital. He later died.
Investigators are trying to determine if an underlying medical condition may have contributed to the crash.
