HARTFORD (WKZO-AM) — A 61-year-old Hartford woman is in critical condition after she was stabbed multiple times with such violent intent, that the knife broke off in her chest.
Neighbors at the McDowell Senior Apartments say the resident was the man that police have in custody for the attack, which took place at around 4 a.m. Tuesday. Police say the assailant slipped through an unlocked door and attacked Charlotte Young in her sleep.
Young is being treated for half a dozen stab wounds.
She was reportedly afraid of the 38-year-old suspect, but the motive for the assault is not clear.
