KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — The family of Abigail Kopf, the 14-year old Harper Creek Middle School student who survived the assault at the Cracker Barrel restaurant in Texas Township, has issued a second news statement.
They say, while the teenager remains in critical condition at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, she has given a thumbs-up and has wiggled her toes, giving them encouragement her condition will improve.
Earlier this week her father, Gene Kopf, had a message for the Dalton family.
“Our thoughts are with the Dalton family, who also are suffering at this time,” Koph said. “We want his family to know that we don’t hold anything against the family members.”
His daughter remains in critical condition.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to help offset the family’s medical expenses.
The restaurant was one of three locations hit last Saturday night.
