EAST LANSING, MI (WHTC) – The Michigan High School Athletic Association says that this state has remained seventh nationally in high school sports participation, based on numbers from the just-completed 2015 Academic Year. It’s the seventh straight year that Michigan has been seventh in the survey conducted by the National Federation of State High School Association. There were over 295 thousand students participating in high school sports this past season, with increases in girls volleyball and girls track seen. A new varsity season begins next week.
