BATTLE CREEK (WKZO) — Fire investigators continue to look for the cause of a fire at the Arbors off Capital Avenue in Battle Creek.
There are still questions why there were no smoke alarms sounding when the place caught fire early Friday morning.
The Red Cross is providing temporary lodging and food money for the tenants left homeless by the fire.
A community collection has begun for furniture items and clothing at The Charitable Union, and staff at the Arbors are trying to find other available housing for their displaced tenants.
