KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM/FM) — Disability Network Southwest Michigan is offering a free training session to help those with disabilities get familiar with Kalamazoo County’s new touch-screen voting machines.
Program Manager Michele McGowen says there’s a workshop set for later this month at the organization’s facility on Crosstown Parkway.
“(The voting machines) are accessable (and) are supposed to be easy to use,” McGowen said. “We’re doing some hands-on experiencial training so people can feel prepared when they go to the polls.”
The event on Sept. 26 begins at 11 a.m. It’s open to everyone.
