LANSING (WKZO-AM) — Rep. John Hoadley, D-Kalamazoo, says he introduced legislation before the House adjourned for the summer that would ban the ownership of an armed drone.
Hoadley said his bill has found seven Republican co-sponsors so far, including the chair of the committee that will debate the legislation.
The state has already passed legislation banning the use of a drone to hunt game or to harass hunters.
This legislation would specifically ban the conversion of a drone into an armed weapon.
