ALBION (WKZO-AM) — The husband of a formerly-missing Albion woman has been taken into custody on a domestic violence charge and is expected to be in court Wednesday.
Brian Kittinger, 64, reported Marilyn Kittinger, 63, missing from the couple’s home on North Shore Drive near Duck Lake after an argument.
Authorities say Marilyn was found several miles away from the residence late Tuesday on the patio of an acquaintance. The acquaintance alerted police after finding Marilyn on the property.
The missing woman had apparently been living off the land, picking apples to keep up her energy. She was taken to Oaklawn Hospital for a check-up but appeared to be in good health.
Authorities had deployed helicopters, boats, K-9s and a large number of personnel in their search for the missing woman. They were anticipating to not find the woman alive.
