LAWTON (WKZO)– A woman from Lawton has been charged with Animal Cruelty/Abandonment for allegedly leaving 11 Chihuahua mix dogs behind when she moved out of a rented home at 518 Main Street.
Deputies say she left them with no food and water and they had made a mess of the place.
56-year-old Nina Sparks now faces a four year felony and reportedly is considered an habitual offender, which could result in an even longer sentence if she is convicted.
Bond was set at 25-hundred dollars but she was freed on her own recognizance.
