JACKSON (WKZO-AM) — Consumers Energy is still working to turn the lights on after 60 mph winds and severe thunderstorms tore through the state Wednesday.
About 500 were without power east of downtown Kalamazoo early Thursday. Several spot outages have been reported throughout the listening area.
Over 21,000 were reported without power in Kent County.
Around 82,000 customers have lost power since Wednesday afternoon. A total of 90,000 customers have been affected.
