BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Consumers Energy crews are hard at work restoring power to homes near the Michigan/Indiana border.
Storms hit early Thursday morning, some even severe in Southwest Michigan causing power outage, downed trees, and other traffic issues.
At it’s peak Consumers Energy’s outage map showed over 15,000 customers without power.
Scattered outages were reported near Sturgis and Coldwater and along the border into northern Indiana.
Drivers should be cautious of out traffic lights or down branches as crews work to clean up the damage.
An updated outage map can be found on Consumers Energy’s website.
