KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Some Kalamazoo Township residents are being told to boil their water as crews work to repair a water main break on Santos Avenue.
Work began around 8 a.m. Friday which resulted in a temporary loss of pressure, prompting the precautionary advisory.
This affects homeowners on:
- Santos Avenue – From Solon Street to Kendall Avenue, both sides of street, but it does NOT include the northeast corner of Santos Avenue and Solon Street.
- Cherry Hill Street – From Santos Avenue south to the dead end of Cherry Hill Street, both sides of street.
- Kendall Avenue – From Santos Avenue and Howard Street, both sides of street, but it does NOT include the northeast corner of Kendall Avenue and Howard Street.
Residents in the affected area should boil their water for two minutes before consuming or use bottled water for the time being. If test results come back normal officials hope to lift the advisory by Monday.
