KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Last week, WOOD TV 8 reported that the second suspect involved in a Kalamazoo bank robbery has received his sentence.
Kevin Turner has received one count of bank robbery, while two other counts of the same charge were dropped. On May 21, he received a sentence of 15 years, plus three years of supervised release following.
The sentence was made as part of a plea deal.
Both Kevin and his brother Draper Turner were arrested following a robbery at Old National Bank on Portage Road in Kalamazoo that took place on March 25th, 2019.
Draper already received a sentence to 51 months in prison last November for his part in the crime after pleading guilty in U.S. Western District Court.
Kevin Turner is also connected to two other armed bank robberies in both Benton Harbor and Wyoming.
