BATTLE CREEK, MI (WNWN) – Even though the lobby of the Battle Creek Police Department at 34 North Division Street is closed at least through this week, one of the six Battle Creek officers to test positive for coronavirus is expected to return to work today.
Major Steve Bush said all six have reported either none or minor symptoms, like some loss of taste or smell, headaches, fatigue and body aches.
Two officers reported symptoms July 9 and began self quarantine. 20 people in the building were tested July 14 and six were positive.
As a result of last week’s tests, the lobby of the Battle Creek Police Department was closed.
Bush says officers are continuing to take their temperatures and complete a self screening before working each day and to report any symptoms they experience. Masks are required in common areas of the building.
