KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Kalamazoo’s Hopcat is temporarily closing its doors after two workers visited a bar in East Lansing that has been linked to a number of COVID-19 cases.
On Tuesday the restaurant, located off of East Water Street in downtown Kalamazoo, posted on their Facebook page saying that a couple of their employees visited Harper’s Restaurant and Brewpub before it shut down.
Harper’s has now been linked to at least 107 coronavirus cases, making the Lansing region a high threat level for the virus.
Hopcat officials say that they have decided that their staff should get tested to be on the safe side.
The restaurant will remain closed until they’re confident all employees are safe.
