KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A woman is dead and a Three Rivers man is suffering from severe injuries after their vehicle overturned in St. Joseph County.
It happened around 2:30 p.m. Saturday near Banker Street Road and Klinger Lake Road in Florence Township south of Centreville.
St. Joseph County Sheriff deputies say the man was driving a tan Ford Explorer eastbound on Banker Street when he lost control, leaving the roadway, and struck several trees before flipping the vehicle.
He and his passenger were trapped inside the vehicle and had to be extricated by the Tri-Townships Fire Department.
The man was rushed to the hospital where his current condition has not been released and the woman passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.
The exact cause of the crash was not released.
