KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Grand Rapids based Goodrich Quality Theaters has filed for bankruptcy.
Upon filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, the comany registered nearly $33 million dollars in debt owed to companies such as Disney, IMAX, Microsoft, Pepsi, and many others.
The company owns 30 theaters across five states to include Kalamazoo 10 and West Columbia 7 in Battle Creek along with theaters in Hastings, Holland, Three Rivers, Lowell, and Grand Haven.
Officials say the company plans to reorganize their debut and that the theaters they own will remain open.
