KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A teen is injured and a suspect is at large after a shooting in Kalamazoo’s Edison Neighborhood.
Kalamazoo Public Safety officers located the 17-year-old victim in the 1100 block of Maywood Avenue near Lake Street around 10:30 p.m. Sunday and learned that the shooting occurred in the area of Jackson and Russell Streets.
The teen was taken to a local hospital with a non-life threatening injury.
There are no suspects at this time and the Criminal Investigation Division is investigating the incident.
About four hours later, another 17-year-old was shot and injured possibly in the area of East Stockbridge Avenue and Mills Street early Monday morning. It’s unclear if the two are connected.
