KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Kalamazoo cleaning company Jeannie Cleaning and Kzookids.com have announced a “Hometown Hero” contest.
The purpose of the contest is to honor those who have helped the community in some way during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Five nominees will win a free house cleaning and sanitation visit, valued at $200.
“Spreading kindness shapes our neighborhoods and builds relationships,” company officials said in a statement. “We want to honor the brave and generous people in our community who have helped during the COVID-19 crisis. We invite you to nominate a deserving person or family who has gone above and beyond during the past few weeks to help others. From sewing face masks to distributing food to children, working the front lines, teaching remotely or simply writing letters to the elderly. We want to hear their story! All entries must be submitted by May 2nd.”
Nominees can be submitted through the contest page using a text application, but video submissions are preferred and encouraged. Both can be submitted for one nominee.
According to KzooKids, the service offered from the contest expires on 12/31/2020. The contest is open to new clients only, and the winners must reside in Kalamazoo County. Additional services can be purchased separately.
Interested participants can apply online at the Jeannie Cleaning contest page. Further information is available through KzooKids.
