LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — State officials are beginning to share some more positive news about the coronavirus.
On Wednesday the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services announced that they will begin providing additional and improved statistics on their website, including the number of confirmed recoveries.
Recoveries will be updated weekly and will include the number of people with a laboratory confirmed COVID-19 case who are 30 days out from their onset of illness. At first reported there were 56 confirmed recoveries.
The improved website will also be updated daily with testing data by state preparedness region. It now shows hospital utilization information as well, including how many medical beds and personal protective equipment is still available.
In addition, this page shows the number of emergency department discharges, number of inpatients, number of patients in critical care and number of patients on ventilators.
All of this information can be found at Michigan.gov/Coronavirus.
