KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A woman wanted for a series of robberies around Kalamazoo is now in custody.
An arrest warrant was issued on Wednesday for 51-year-old Earlisa Johnson who was wanted for the September 5th robbery at the Fifth Third Bank on Portage Road and is a suspect in numerous other bank robberies dating back to May.
After a joint investigation with Kalamazoo Public Safety officers and the FBI Johnson was arrested around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday after she was located in the 3900 block of South Westnedge Avenue.
She was arraigned Thursday afternoon and she is being held on a $100,000 cash surety bond.
Johnson remains in the Kalamazoo County Jail as she is awaiting court proceedings.
