KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Former Kalamazoo County District 2 Commissioner Paul Haag may have never lived inside the district during his time as a commissioner.
Haag, who served on the Board for around nine months, resigned suddenly on September 6th.
Haag claimed to be living in a house inside District 2 as of November 5th, which was the day before the election. Work was allegedly still being done on the house at that time.
Former District 2 commissioner David Buskirk said that by April the house in question appeared to be vacant.
Busirck has since stated that he will be filing a complaint with the Attorney General’s office in regards to Haag’s paychecks.
Haag resigned almost exactly a month after former Commissioner Ron Kendall resigned suddenly.
