KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A pedestrian is critically injured and a driver is in custody after a crash in downtown Kalamazoo.
It happened around 1:45 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of South Rose and Academy Street.
Kalamazoo Public Safety officers say a 32-year-old man was struck by a vehicle while in the roadway and rushed to a nearby hospital where he was last listed in critical condition.
The driver, a 31-year-old Kalamazoo man, was arrested and lodged at the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office on an alcohol related driving offense.
