CASS COUNTY, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Four people are injured after a driver blew through an intersection in Cass County, causing a chain reaction crash.
It happened just around 5:15 p.m. Monday at Dailey Road and M-60 in Jefferson Township.
Deputies say 18-year-old Dawuan Brown from Elkhart Indiana was traveling southbound on Dailey when he failed to stop at the intersection and collided into a westbound vehicle, driven by 30-year-old Kathy Nixon of Cassopolis.
Then a third vehicle, driven by 58-year-old Joseph Mosier of Three Rivers, was hit in the intersection by the other 2-vehicles.
Mosier and his passenger, 40-year-old Christopher Rainwater from Constantine, as well as Brown and Nixon were all rushed to the hospital. Their current conditions have not been released.
Seat belts were worn and airbags deployed in all of the vehicles.
Investigators do not believe alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash but they are still looking into the incident.
