KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The search is on for Kalamazoo Public Schools next Superintendent and the district is asking the community for help.
Board Chair Patti Sholler-Barber says they will hold 11 community input meetings scattered through the next 3 weeks all over the district.
According to KPS, “At each meeting, a Michigan Association of School Boards (MASB) consultant will provide an overview of the search process and collect input on the qualities, experience, and skills the participants desire in the next superintendent.”
They will then use the input they receive to set standards and qualities they will be looking for when seeking and screening applicants over the next few months.
Community members are invited to share their perspectives at the following meetings:
- Monday, Oct. 14, 7 p.m., Maple Street Magnet School, 922 W. Maple St.
- Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2 p.m., Friendship Village, 1400 N. Drake Road
