Information also indicated that persons under 21, including high school students, were buying marijuana at the business. During the investigation over the past several months, SWET detectives were able to obtain evidence which resulted in a warrant.
When the warrant was executed, detectives and uniformed officers arrested one male subject for an outstanding warrant. He is now lodged at the Branch County Jail.
A second male subject was arrested for possession of methamphetamines and is now lodged at the St. Joseph County Jail.
During the search, detectives recovered several pounds of usable marijuana, including marijuana edibles, and a large amount of US currency.
SWET is reminding citizens that, while marijuana is now legal in Michigan, the Michigan Regulation and Taxation of Marijuana act of 2018 and the Michigan Medical Marijuana act of 2008 have established the rules, regulations and laws that must be followed.
In this case, those rules and regulations were not being followed.
