KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — It was a big day for 1300 students as they walked across the stage at Western Michigan University Saturday, June 29th.
868 received their Bachelors Degrees accompanied by 447 getting their Masters along with over 34 earning the title of Doctor.
Among the graduates, Detroit Red Wings defenseman, Danny DeKeyser. The Bronco turned Hockeytown favorite entered the NHL in 2013, and left WMU before completing his junior year. Six years and a $30 million dollar contract later, he’s earned a college degree through WMU’s Extended University Programs.
