WHITE PIGEON TOWNSHIP – (WTVB) – A 57-year-old Constantine woman was injured Monday when her car crashed into a semi on U.S. 12 near Lutz Road in Saint Joseph County.
The Michigan State Police report the crash took place at 12:10 p.m. when the unidentified woman’s eastbound vehicle went out of control and crashed into the semi which was heading in the opposite direction.
The woman was transported by helicopter to a South Bend hospital.
The driver of the semi-truck, a 50-year-old man from Pennsylvania was not injured.
Assisting at the scene were Lifecare Ambulance, police from Constantine and White Pidgeon, the White Pidgeon and Sturgis Fire Departments and the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department.
